CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

A website built around how your business actually gets clients - not a template with your logo on it

Most “custom” websites are a theme with your colors swapped in. I build differently: every page starts from your actual sales process – how a homeowner picks a roofer, how a client vets a law firm – and the site is structured on WordPress + Elementor Pro to move a stranger through that process, not just look good in a portfolio.

What makes a website successful?

Good design matters. Clear messaging matters. But a successful website does more than look polished.
It works when:
  • It’s easy for your team to update without fear
  • It supports how people actually find and evaluate you
  • The message stays consistent across all channels
  • Users instantly grasp your offering and desired action
  • Accessibility and performance aren’t afterthoughts
  • Results can be measured, improved, and defended

A great website isn't one big idea. It's dozens of small, correct decisions working together. That's what makes it hold up over time.

Who This Is For

This isn’t a general-purpose web design service. I build for two kinds of businesses:
Roofing contractor website design example on mobile

Home service businesses

Contractors, roofers, landscapers, cleaning companies, security services. Your site’s job is simple: turn a worried or busy homeowner into a booked call or a submitted quote request, fast, on mobile, without making them dig.
HFBAC - Recruitment

Professional service firms

Law firms, consultancies, accountants, architects, recruitment agencies. Your site’s job is different: build enough credibility in the first 30 seconds that someone picks up the phone instead of clicking to a competitor’s site.
If you’re neither of these, I’m probably not the best fit – and I’ll tell you that on the first call instead of taking the project anyway.

What's Actually Included

Not a vague “custom design” promise — here’s the real scope:
Website design process wireframe and mockup

Strategy & structure

  • A discovery call where I ask about your actual sales process, not just “what pages do you want”
  • Site map built around one goal: get the visitor to contact you, with the fewest clicks possible
  • Competitor review so your site doesn’t read like everyone else’s in your niche

Design

  • Original layout, not a pre-built Elementor kit reskinned with your logo
  • Mobile-first – over 60% of your traffic will be on a phone, so mobile isn’t an afterthought, it’s the first thing I design
  • Trust elements built in from day one: licensing badges, service-area clarity, real testimonials, credentials – placed above the fold, not buried in an “About” page nobody clicks

Development

  • Built on WordPress + Elementor Pro so you can edit text, swap images, and add pages yourself after launch – no developer needed for basic updates
  • Clean, semantic HTML structure (proper heading hierarchy, not div soup) – this matters for both Google and how AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews read and summarize your site
  • Core Web Vitals-friendly build: compressed/next-gen images (WebP/AVIF), minimal plugin bloat, fast hosting-compatible setup

SEO foundation (included, not upsold separately)

  • Testing across devices and browsers before launch
  • A recorded walkthrough so you know how to make basic edits
  • 30 days of post-launch support included

Launch & handover

  • On-page SEO: proper title tags, meta descriptions, header structure on every page
  • Schema markup (Organization, Service, and FAQ schema where relevant) so search engines and AI answer engines can read your business info accurately
  • Internal linking structure planned from day one, not bolted on later

What It Costs

Most projects run $500–$2,500, depending on number of pages, custom functionality (booking systems, quote calculators, integrations with tools like Jobber or ServiceTitan), and content complexity. A 5-page contractor site sits at the lower end; a multi-service law firm site with bilingual support or a client portal sits higher.
You’ll get an exact number after a discovery call – not a vague “it depends” with no anchor.

How it Works

1

Discovery call

I learn your business, your customers, and how people currently choose you over a competitor.

2

Proposal

Clear scope, timeline, and price. No surprise invoices later.

3

Design

I send you a homepage design first. We refine it together before I build the rest.

4

Development

Full build on WordPress + Elementor Pro, mobile-first, SEO-structured from the start.

5

Testing & launch

Checked across devices and browsers, then live.

6

30-day support

I'm still around after launch to fix anything that comes up.

Design that helps humans trust (and understand) your brand.

Your brand already exists. Our job is to make it work on the web. What colors attract the user? How do we guide them through the content? What evidence can we present? Which visuals will persuade them? We’ll give them a new way to see you, and a new way for you to see yourself.

Your Questions Answered

How is this different from using a website builder like Wix or Squarespace myself?

You could build something yourself, but you’d be starting from a generic template and doing the strategy work – figuring out what actually gets a homeowner or client to contact you – on your own. I build on WordPress + Elementor Pro specifically so you get a custom, strategy-led site that you can still edit yourself after launch, without the limitations of a drag-and-drop builder or the cost of hiring a developer for every small change.
Most clients provide the raw information (services, pricing, credentials, past work) and I structure and write the on-page copy so it’s clear, conversion-focused, and SEO-friendly. If you already have strong copy, I’ll work with what you have and tighten it.
Yes – common integrations include Calendly/booking widgets, CRM webhooks (Jobber, ServiceTitan, HubSpot), and email marketing tools. Let me know what you use during the discovery call and I’ll scope it into the proposal.
If this is a redesign of an existing site rather than a brand-new one, yes — I map old URLs to new ones with proper redirects and preserve your existing content structure where it’s already working, so you don’t lose ranking equity during the switch.
You can continue making edits yourself since the site is built on WordPress + Elementor Pro. If you’d rather not deal with updates, backups, or small fixes, I offer month-to-month website management plans – no obligation to sign up for one.

Your website should be doing the selling before you ever pick up the phone.

If you’re a contractor, law firm, or service business and your current site isn’t doing that, let’s fix it.
