WEBSITE REDESIGN
Your website isn't broken. It's just not working anymore.
There’s a difference. Nothing’s crashed – it still loads, it still has your logo on it. But it was built for a version of your business that doesn’t exist anymore, or for a version of the internet where people didn’t check everything on their phone first. A redesign fixes that without starting from zero and without losing what’s already working – including your Google rankings.
Not Sure Which You Need?
You probably need a redesign if:
- Your site still gets traffic, but visitors leave fast – the design or messaging isn’t the problem’s traffic, it’s trust
- You’ve rebranded, changed services, or grown since the site was built, and it doesn’t reflect that anymore
- It looks noticeably dated next to competitors, even if nothing is technically “broken”
- It’s not built on a platform you can actually update yourself
- Mobile visitors have a worse experience than desktop visitors
- You’re embarrassed to send a prospect the link
If none of these apply and you’re starting completely fresh with no existing site, see Custom Website Design & Development → instead – that’s a different starting point with a different process.
The real risk in a redesign isn't design. It's losing what already works.
Most agencies treat a redesign like a fresh build – new site, new URLs, new structure, then hope Google figures it out. That’s how businesses lose years of ranking equity in a single launch.
A redesign done right:
- Keeps every URL that’s currently ranking, or 301-redirects it properly if the structure changes
- Preserves and improves the content that’s already bringing in traffic, instead of replacing it with generic copy
- Treats the launch like a controlled migration, not a relaunch – with before/after tracking so you can prove what improved
- Doesn’t touch what’s already converting just because it’s “old”
Who This Is For
Same two groups as our design work, but you’re not starting from nothing:
Home service businesses with an aging site
Your current site might still get calls, but it’s costing you the ones that compare you to a competitor first. A redesign closes that gap without you having to explain your business from scratch to a new provider.
Professional service firms outgrowing their site
If your firm has grown, added partners, or shifted focus since the site was built, the site is now working against the credibility you’ve actually earned. A redesign catches it up.
If you’re building a first website with nothing live yet, see Custom Website Design & Development → instead.
What's Actually Included
Not a vague “website redesign” promise – here’s the real scope:
Audit first, design second
- Full review of current site structure, content, rankings, and what’s actually driving traffic or conversions today
- Identification of what stays (don’t touch what’s working) vs. what gets rebuilt
- Competitor comparison so the redesign is a real step forward, not a lateral move
Migration done properly
- Every existing URL mapped to its new location with correct 301 redirects – no orphaned pages, no ranking loss
- Existing content that’s performing well gets refined, not deleted
- Old site stays live and untouched until the new one is fully tested and approved
Design & development
- Original layout on WordPress + Elementor Pro, not a template reskin
- Mobile-first – matching the real traffic split, not an afterthought
- Trust and conversion elements rebuilt around what your actual sales process needs
SEO preserved and improved
- Rankings protected through the redirect mapping above
- On-page SEO tightened on every page – most redesigns are also the first time a site gets real title tags, meta descriptions, and schema markup
- Internal linking restructured to reflect the current business, not the old one
Launch & handover
- Side-by-side testing before the switch goes live
- Recorded walkthrough so you can manage the new site yourself
- 30 days of post-launch support, plus ranking monitoring in the weeks after launch to catch any redirect issues early
What It Costs
Redesigns typically run $500–$3,000 – higher than a from-scratch build in most cases, because proper migration (auditing existing content, mapping redirects, preserving rankings) takes real time that a brand-new site doesn’t need. Scope depends on how many pages exist today, how much content needs rework, and whether new functionality is being added.
You’ll get an exact number after a discovery call that includes a look at your current site – not a guess based on page count alone.
How it Works
1
Audit call
I review your current site with you: what's working, what isn't, what's actually costing you leads.
2
Proposal
Clear scope, redirect plan, timeline, and price.
3
Design
New homepage design first, refined together before the rest is built.
4
Development
Full rebuild on WordPress + Elementor Pro, with every existing URL mapped to a redirect.
5
Testing & migration
New site tested fully before it replaces the old one; nothing goes live broken.
6
Launch & monitoring
Live redirects verified, rankings tracked for the first few weeks, 30-day support included.
Your Questions Answered
Will I lose my Google rankings during the redesign?
No, not if it’s done properly. Every existing URL is mapped to its new location with a 301 redirect before launch, and content that’s already ranking is preserved and improved rather than deleted. Ranking loss during a redesign is almost always a sign of poor migration planning, not something unavoidable.
How is a redesign different from a full rebuild?
A redesign starts from your existing site’s structure, content, and traffic data – you keep what’s working and fix what isn’t. A full rebuild treats you as a blank slate. If your current site gets zero traffic and has nothing worth preserving, a rebuild might actually be simpler; that’s something we figure out on the audit call.
Can you redesign a site that isn't on WordPress?
Yes. Whatever platform you’re on now, the new site is rebuilt on WordPress + Elementor Pro so you can manage it yourself going forward, and your existing content gets migrated over.
How long does a redesign take?
Most redesigns take 2–3 weeks from content handoff to launch, depending on how many pages exist and how much new content needs to be written versus reused.
What happens to my old site during the process?
It stays live and untouched the entire time you’re being redesigned. Nothing changes for your visitors or your rankings until the new site is fully built, tested, and approved by you
Your website should represent the business you actually run today.
